Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2012

Avionne Mark (23, 5'9) won the Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2012 title and crown. She was crowned by Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2011 Gabrielle Walcott. She will represent her country at Miss Universe 2012 at Las Vegas this December. 1st Runner Up is Mauricia De Peza, 2nd Runner Up is Ria Da Costa, 3rd Runner Up is Sarah Jane Waddell and 4th Runner Up is Jessica Didier.

Miss International 2011, Maria Fernanda Cornejo ENGAGED!

It was just the day of the pageant when Miss International 2011, Maria Fernanda Cornejo's boyfriend tweeted and MaFer responded that she was accepting it:

The tweet of Federico Zenck (MaFer's Boyfriend) saying that "It is time to hand over the crown and get your ring." His Boyfriend added: "I love you and only you.." After tweeting, MaFer Cornejo replied that: "Happy to accept." In behalf of the UBC team, we would like to congratulate Federico Zenck and Maria Fernanda Cornejo!

Miss Japan wins Miss International 2012!

Last night, Miss International 2011, Maria Fernanda Cornejo crowned her successor. Miss Japan, Ikumi Yoshimatsu won the crown last night. She was the FIRST Japanese beauty queen to win a crown in Miss International. People didn't expected this to happen, people began to question, "Was it on a home court basis?" Judges had a hard time in choosing the winner, Miss International Organization even extended 10 minutes for deliberation.

When all the girls have finished, social media gone wild on the answers of Haiti, Philippines, Paraguay, India, Japan, USA and United Kingdom. But among those who stood out in their speeches, only Paraguay and Japan made it to the Top 5! But, overall, Japan did a great job in the pageant, some say that I wasn't on a home court basis, but instead, Japan did a commendable job in the pageant itself. Let's journey with her as she starts her reign.
