Renae Ayris, 21 years old from Perth was crowned as Miss Universe Australia 2012 in a private event. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder from Perth as well, Scherri Lee Biggs who placed Top 10 at Miss Universe 2011. 1st Runner Up is
Mary Vitaranos who is likely going to represent Australia at an international pageant later this year.

However, outrage from pageant fans happened as early favorite,
Melinda Kemp, failed to make the first cut. Renae will represent her country at Miss Universe 2012 this December.
