18-year old, long-haired Elizaveta who hails from Smolensk wins Miss Russia 2012 title and crown last March 3, 2012 at Moscow, Russia, vesting the other 85 contestants. She will represent Russia at Miss Universe 2012 and Miss World 2012. 1st Runner Up is Kristina Gontar, from Zheleznodorozhny and 2nd Runner Up is Alena Shiskova from Tyumen.
The winner is crowned by Miss Russia 2011, Natalia Gantimurova. She received her sash from Miss World 2011, Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela.
On the aftermath, reports said that one of the pearls in the crown is gone. The Miss Russia crown is the most expensive crown in the world.
Meanwhile, many pageant afficionados ranted because the all-time favorite for the crown, Alena Shiskova, just ended as 2nd Runner Up, allegedly, having been robbed by Elizaveta.
