competition to that promotes an ideal standard fit for today’s generation. With
its strong environmental advocacy and world class beauties Miss Philippines-
Earth has become one of the foremost and top notch beauty events whose reason
being is to have earth warriors that actively promote environmental awareness
and get involved in the preservation of mother earth.

Today,
Miss Philippines- Earth is the leading and highly participated beauty pageant
here in the Philippines with 48 official candidates. The heat is on as the 48
gorgeous ladies proved their competiveness by outdoing each other with various
semi-events such as talent competitions, swim wear, evening gown and fashion
shows. Our pageant contestants being dubbed as “Beauties for a Cause” have a
lot to prove that they are indeed stewards of mother earth.
Miss Philippines- Earth celebrating its 13th year
of pure Filipina beauty, this year the pageant focuses on water cooperation and
conservation which is in line with United Nations General Assembly’s declaration
of 2013 as International Year of Water Cooperation.
CPI President Ramon Monzon explained, “We have seen the ill
effects of water shortage in other countries and we don’t want that to happen
to the Philippines. For 2013, the Miss Philippines-Earth candidates will
focus their campaign on promoting ways to make clean water accessible to
more people and on how we can preserve our water resources for sustainable
living."

Monzon added that activities include coastal
clean-ups and school tours. She promised a “visual treat”
through holograms that will make the proceedings more engaging on pageant
night, when outgoing Miss Philippines-Earth Stephany Stefanowitz crowns her
successor. As we all know, Stephany raised the bar high for the next Miss Philippines - Earth setting a placement as Miss Earth Air in Miss Earth 2012. Will the next Miss Philippines - Earth finally grab the Miss Earth crown for the second time?
Monzon also stated that the luckiest earth
warrior combined with prestige and glamour that Ms. Philippines- Earth 2013
stands to win a management contract worth a whopping Php500, 000 from Carousel Productions
Incorporated.
The earth warriors will battle it out at the Mall
of Asia Arena on the 19th of May and the admission is free. It will
be aired live on ABS-CBN at 10:30 p.m. Carousel
Productions promises to be a one-of-a-kind, phenomenal, live show experience.
