Miss World Philippines 2011 is Gwendolyn Ruias



The 24 year old and 6 ft. French-Filipina Gwendolyn Ruias won the first ever Miss World Philippines crown and title on September 18, 2011 at the Philippine International Convention Center. The pageant was anticipated by Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills of USA. She also won a sponsor award and major awards. She won the Best Fashion Design, Best in Swimsuit and the sponsor award Miss Healthy Body.

The runner ups were Helen Henson (first princess), Martha McCully, (second princess), Bianca Paz (third princess), and Jaysel Arrozal (fourth princess). The other favorites of the night were Erina Ann Lightholder, Rogelie Catacutan and Samantha Purvor, all of them are semifinalists.

She will represent the Philippines at Miss World 2011 in London, UK.
