Miss Earth 2011 is Ecuador's Olga Alava

23-year old Olga Alava won the Miss Earth 2011 title and crown. She was crowned by Miss Earth 2010, Nicole Faria of India. Olga marked the double victory of Ecuador this 2011. They won the Miss International 2011 title and crown. Ecuador won their first Miss Earth title!

The pageant started with their summersault Opening Number, then the Top 16 semifinalists who competed at the Swimsuit Competition then, Top 8 finalists competed at the Evening Gown Competition and the Top 4 who dominated the Question and Answer portion.  The event was hosted by Sonia Couling and Jason Godfrey

They were asked why Education should be prioritized and all of them answered with conviction. While, Venezuela's interpreter tripped in interpreting Caroline's answer.

However, controversy and complaints stirred up when Czech Republic, India and Colombia was left out from the Top 16 and the inclusion of Philippines' Athena Imperial at the Top 4.
